Programming and RV Living

In Aug of 2021 I decided to move my family from our home in Thailand to the USA. We talked about buying land, building a cabin. We looked at lots of land and ideas for a cabin. While watching youtube videos about building cabins and off grid living I stumbled across a few videos about RV Living. Long story short, I bought a 5th wheel camper, truck before we left. Now things never seem to work out the way we want… My girlfriend had to stay in Bangkok due to the embassy being backed up due to the Chinese virus… Our camper well it leaks, the slides dont work, its rotted… and the last thing was worried about was Internet… Well that is even bad! I am currently on the waiting list for Starlink and have paid my deposit. So soon it will get better. I have always loved the outdoors, any place I have lived I have always had a nice balcony or patio to work. I will build a small bar out of free pallet wood and equip it with a small fridge, sink, tv and music. So for me it is not so much what my home looks like, rather how the environment around me looks. We are currently in the country and I love it. We have a nice picnic table and I spend most my time sitting there plugging away. I get inspiration from the breeze, sky and just being outside. My girlfriend should be here before Christmas 2021. I have started looking for a travel trailer with a bunk house as I have a 4 year old. She will need her own bedroom. So next spring we will hit the road. I will be set up with solar power, and we can stay of grid for almost a month using Starlink for our internet connection. How cool will that be to have a lake at the bottom of the mountains as my back drop for my mornings and evenings of programming. Waking up before sunrise, making “Cowboy” coffee on the fire and starting my day watching the sun come up. Spending the day chilling, enjoying life with the two people who mean the most to me. I think 2022 will be our year! I have not found many programmers who live like this. I have talked to a few “Youtubers” and they say most mobile internet connections work fine. They say that once Starlink is active it will be great. So very excited to travel this beautiful country with my girls and complete some amazing projects.
